(2006) Simon Says is my first experimentation with the idea of a “shuffle album”. Compositions were centered around compatible meters and keys (ie 60, 120 or 180bpm, and a Db tonic), then their sections, rearrangements, and reharmonizations were split during the performance/recording. The concept was to use a traditional media player like a CD player to generate a dynamic music-listening experience by playing Simon Says in random order.
